SEEKING A PART TIME MUSIC WORSHIP LEADER

PURPOSE:
To provide excellent leadership in worship at Hope Community Church.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will have
• A mature faith with a well formed understanding of Christian worship
• An ability to lead worship instrumentally and vocally and develop others to that end
• Strong musical (vocal, keyboard/guitar) and technology (soundboard/computer) skills
• Agreement in the membership covenant, policies, and doctrine of Hope
• A commitment to participation and involvement at Hope and in the community

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To choose the music with the Pastor in keeping with the theme of the sermon
• To creatively develop all areas of worship arts, but being primarily focused on music
• To prepare the video projection for the service and administrate any required music, Scripture readers and prayers or other participants each week
• To lead the congregation during Sunday morning worship. This involves set up before and take down of equipment afterward
• To lead and develop worship team members through regular practice times.
• To procure any required supplies, licensing, etc.

REPORTING:
The Music Worship leader will report to the Pastor and the Senior Leadership Team.

REMUNERATION:
Negotiable, both in hours and dollars per hour based on experience. We are considering the role to be equivalent to 20% of a full time job (approximately 8-10 hours per week).
