POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Provide administrative support to the manager of the company's operations department.
• Maintain the daily requirements of the general office equipment, supplies and facility.
• Provide assistance to ensure social events are adequately handled.
• To arrange travel for senior management, middle management, support staff and our international employees.


JOB REQUIREMENTS:
***** We need an active, enthusiastic individual, who can multi-task in an often busy environment. This individual must enjoy change and variety, with the ability to maintain schedules & systems.

***** We need a patient person, who can handle constant interruptions, while maintaining the focus required for completing assigned work. This individual must be easy-going, friendly, helpful, enjoys supporting others and have a servant-heart, along with great administrative skills!


EDUCATION:
• Education must include College Diploma and/or equivalent progressive experience as an administrative assistant


EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 3- 5 years experience as an Administrative Assistant
• Experience coordinating and booking travel arrangements
• Experience with general office equipment and technology (computer, copiers, postage machines, fax machines, etc.)


SKILLS PREFERRED:
• Microsoft Office skills (Word, Outlook, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint) & internet research
• Excellent client service and interpersonal skills: experience interacting with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Previous experience working within the non-profit industry preferred, but not required
• Proven ability to work well with all levels of management and staff, inside and outside the organization
• A self-starter and team-player with the ability to work independently
• Exceptional attention to details, with the ability to see the "big picture"
• Very reliable, flexible and adaptable, with the ability to take the initiative, problem-solve & implement solutions, in changing environments
• Able to multi-task, prioritize and work well in a busy, sometimes pressured environment
• Advanced organizational and time management skills
• Exceptional event planning skills
• Able to handle confidential information
