Mentoring describes a partnership between two people: the mentor and the mentee. A mentor provides support to the mentee. As the process of mentoring is about helping the mentee come up with their own solutions, this issue has to be pointed out to the mentee, giving them the opportunity to develop appropriate coping strategies.

Mentoring provides a wonderful learning opportunity, allowing you to take part in the development of another's skills pertinent to them building relationships within and outside the workplace.

A mentor's,role is to tackle issues and blockages identified by the mentee. A Mentor will be somebody with knowledge and experience to draw upon and likely to be mentoring somebody junior. A Mentor's aim is to provide practical and objective guidance and support to help the mentee become the person he/she wants to be.
